It's Time We Listened to HerStories.
You are enduring micro-aggressions and expected to produce unrealistic outcomes all while keeping a smile on your face.
Often under compensated, it wouldn't be a surprise if you were secretly planning your exit, seeking restoration.
Our bodies are aging more rapidly than our peers. They say Black don't crack, but, we certainly are on the inside. It's so hard to see progress, while the world is crumbling...ain't it?
How do we fight for radical social change, without hurting ourselves in the process?
In the wee hours of the night, on my doctoral journey, I sat with the stories of six Black women trailblazers in the Civil Rights Era. I wanted to know; how did they do it? How did they survive? How did they heal?
Well, sis... they all answered. Come listen and learn from herstories with me!

Together we will...

"Healing Thru Herstories: A Listening Circle for Black Women Leaders was soul good. From the warm welcome I received upon arrival to the closing exercise prior to our departure I knew that I was in a space that was intentionally created for the care and healing of Black Women Leaders. As I listened to the stories of each ancestor the tension in my shoulders began to melt as I realized that their stories were my stories. The tension I felt further eased while in the circle. As I listened to my sisters share experiences that echoed my own, it dawned on me that I am not alone. I am never alone. I felt empowered as I listened to the sisters in the circle encourage one another...encourage me! I entered the space feeling weary and isolated. However, I left Healing Thru Herstories feeling energized and connected."
