Preparing for Our Reparative Circle

HMI Leadership Team | Liberation-Focused Strategic Discernment & Mediation

Why We’re Meeting

Every leadership team carries both strength and fracture. When tension goes unnamed, it doesn’t disappear; it shapes how we lead, decide, and show up for the people HMI serves. Over two days in person, we will practice something different: naming what’s been hard to say, learning a liberatory way of holding conflict, and making space for repair where we’re ready.

Start Here: Watch the Orienting Video

In this short video, I share who I am, how I approach this work, and what to expect before and during our time together. Please watch it before choosing how you’ll share your input.

Your Voice Shapes This Work

Your perspective, in your own words, is what guides our time together. Please share as much as you feel led to about your experience on this team and what you need to do your job well.

Everything you share is confidential and de-identified. I’ll organize responses into shared themes and reflect them back to the group anonymously and in aggregate. No response will ever be attributed to any individual. Choose just one option, or choose both!

What to Expect When We Gather

The Reparative Circle is emergent and collaborative. There is a shape to hold us, and the path within it will respond to what the team surfaces together.

Day 1: Naming the Fracture · December 3, 2026, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
We’ll ground together, co-create our agreements, and hear the collective themes from your pre-work. We’ll explore how conflict is often handled in professional spaces, then learn a liberatory way of holding it, including a concrete practice we’ll use throughout. The day closes with personal reflection and space for those who are ready to name where repair is needed.

Day 2: Parallel Process & Repair · December 4, 2026, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
We’ll continue processing and deepen our practice. Then the team will choose how to proceed: together as a full group, or in paired repair conversations, with my support throughout. We’ll close by co-authoring collective agreements and integrating the work through embodied practice.

Participation in any repair conversation is always voluntary. No one will be asked to engage beyond what they choose.

After We Gather: We’ll reconnect for a 90-minute virtual check-in 4–6 weeks later to reflect on how our agreements are living and what’s still needed.

I look forward to connecting more deeply with you.
